Today, 7 September 2023, my workplace reaches the year of 64 of its service to society. It was established in Jakarta in 1959. At first LIA stood for 'Lembaga Indonesia Amerika'. But then, when there was no longer cooperation between the institution with American embassy, it didn't stand for that abbreviation anymore. LIA is just a name of an English course. The Board didn't change the name because the name was already well-known by society.
LIA Semarang was established in 1995. I joined this institution in 1996. It means this year I have been working for 27 years for LIA.
