Religion Education Class

Besides gender equality, I have always found that 'religion' or 'spirituality' interesting. Perhaps because I have been strongly attached to this since I was very young. Also perhaps because I have converted from being a Muslim into an agnostic; the moment when I started to reconsider my religious upbringing was an awakening moment; one very striking experience.

For sure that is why I was very excited when I was assigned to teach 'Religion' subject. I was always intrigued by the discussion in the classes. Therefore, I tried to spend time to write the discussion and shared it in my blog. Check this link please. :)

However, for the last two years, I no longer got assigned to teach the subject. During academic year of 2012/2013, some other teachers were assigned for the subject. In the first semester of academic year of 2013/2014, this subject was not on the list of subjects taught. Well, as an international school, the school where I have been working since 2008 does not consider 'religion' as one important subject. Teaching religion lies in the students' parents responsibility.

However, in the beginning of semester 2 this academic year -- January 2014 -- 'Religion' was included again. :) And I was assigned to teach in senior high levels. The topic is about Family and Relationship  I have had very interesting discussions with the students since then. Nevertheless, I have been idle for too long to write for blog. Hikksss ... :'(

When will I have time to write? Oh no, not that question. When will I have URGE to write (again)? :)
